Head of the Zaporizhzhya OVA Oleksandr Starukh said that the situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which was seized by the Russians, is difficult. and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This was reported on the air of the telethon.

The official noted that the radiation background at the Zaporizhzhya NPP is in line with the norm, but there is still a high risk of an accident due to unforeseen actions of the occupiers.&nbsp ;The enemy continues shelling the station with mortars, there is a hit in one of the objects.

"The sooner the ZNPP territory is demilitarized, the sooner the security situation will stabilize. There is hope that the ZNPP will return under control "Energoatom" and the IAEA, and the occupiers will withdraw armed units from the territory of the nuclear power plant, will comply with international standards of warfare”, – Starukh noted.
