The company Boom Supersonic completed new tests of the XB-1 supersonic passenger plane prototype.

On August 26, 2024, it managed to take off under the control of test pilot Tristan Brandenburg. The startup successfully tested the aircraft's control systems.

The duration of the flight was 15 minutes. This is the second test of the aircraft. The first took place on March 22, 2024 and was also considered a success. In the role of a test "ground" the test site in the Mojave Desert, California was used.

In total, about ten more flights of the XB-1 are planned to test aircraft components at various speeds and altitudes. Boom Supersonic will test the performance of systems to maintain the safety of the aircraft during operation at supersonic modes.
