US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby told high-level contacts between his country and Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the White House.
At a briefing at the White House, Kirby was asked if the statement of the President of the United States Joe Biden about that he communicates with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky “three or four times a week”, given that journalists are much less likely to be told about calls. In response, the representative of the White House said that the American leader talks with Zelensky “on a regular basis”.
He also indicated that the foreign policy and defense departments of the United States and Ukraine are in contact with the same intensity. .
BAGNET recalls that earlier President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Biden's signing of the law on the supply of arms to Kyiv under Lend-Lease is a historic step. He also thanked the President of the United States and the American people for supporting Ukraine.
In May, Biden signed Lend-Lease law, which simplifies the provision of military assistance to Ukraine. The document cancels a number of requirements related to the powers of the president to provide defense equipment if it is intended for Ukraine or other countries of Eastern Europe. The United States resorted to Lend-Lease for the first time since the Second World War.
