The virologist announced the reasons for the temporary medical withdrawal from vaccination

People from risk groups, as well as those who came to the vaccination center in an unhealthy condition – for example, with high blood pressure and blood sugar levels, can receive a temporary medical treatment from vaccination. The doctor-virologist Evgeny Timakov spoke about this.

He recalled that people from risk groups are shown vaccination only in a stable condition, that is, without an exacerbation of the disease. “Before the procedure, such patients need a consultation from a narrow specialist who will tell them how to prepare for vaccination and whether they need to take any tests,” the TASS physician quotes.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is indicated for all diseases. They are wary of people with autoimmune diseases, but even oncology is not a contraindication to vaccination, Timakov emphasized. You can get vaccinated against coronavirus in all regions of the country. Four drugs from COVID-19 are registered in Russia: Sputnik V and Sputnik Light from the Gamaleya Center, EpiVacCorona from the Vector Center and KoviVak, created by the Chumakov Center.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that the situation with coronavirus in the country is still tense, and there are examples when the incidence increased due to mass events. She cited the Lipetsk region as an example, where at the end of June they decided to hold a festival, which was attended by over ten thousand people. As a result, a week later, the incidence rate increased by 11% in the region, and it “continues to grow.”

In this regard, the department has developed a procedure for holding events in the regions. According to the new rules, events of between five hundred and a thousand people can be carried out in regions where the prevalence of infection is less than or equal to one. At the same time, the rate of increase in the incidence should not exceed 10%. Without restrictions on the number of participants, events can be held where a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 is recorded.
