The US destroyed two patrol boats and an unmanned surface vehicle of the Houthis in the Red Sea

The US armed forces destroyed two patrol boats and an unmanned surface vehicle of the Yemeni rebel movement in the Red Sea “Ansar Allah” (Hussites).

This was reported by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) on the Kh social network.

“CENTCOM forces successfully destroyed one unmanned surface vehicle and two Houthi patrol boats in the Red Sea”, – the message says.

The command also reported the destruction of an air defense sensor controlled by the Houthis in the Yemen region and one UAV launched from Yemeni territory over the Red Sea.  The US military claims that these systems were a direct a threat to American, coalition, and merchant ships in the region.

Earlier, the Houthis critically damaged a Greek ship in the Red Sea that was sailing from the Russian Federation. No casualties were reported. The representative of the Houthis, Yahya Saria, stated that the ship was seriously damaged and may sink.
