The US Naval Forces in Europe and the Armed Forces of Denmark will conduct joint exercises in the Baltic Sea using the modern SM-6 missile system.
It is reported on the website of the US 6th Fleet.
The exercise will begin on September 18 and will aim to improve convoy protection skills.
"By conducting these operations from Danish territory, the United States reaffirms the strategic importance of Denmark as a key ally in ensuring regional stability." ;, the US 6th Fleet emphasized.
It is noted that the SM-6 missile system can intercept air threats, including ballistic missiles in the final phase of flight. In addition, it has the ability to hit stationary and moving sea and land targets with high precision.
