Turkey's leading business association TUSIAD receives letter from US Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo warning of the risk of possible sanctions that could follow if the companies establish relationships with Russian entities and individuals under US sanctions.
A statement released by TUSIAD said the association had forwarded the letter to the Foreign Ministry affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade of Turkey.
On Saturday, Adeyemo, in an interview with Turkish Deputy Finance Minister Yunus Elitas, said that Russian legal entities and individuals are trying to use Turkey to circumvent Western sanctions imposed in connection with the war in Ukraine.
