American runners set a world record in the 4×400 meter medley relay at the World Championships in Athletics in Budapest, reports rodrobnosti. 

The USA team showed a result of 3 minutes 8.80 in the final race seconds She was represented by Justin Robinson, Rosie Effiong, Matthew Boling and Alexis Holmes. The second place was taken by the team of Great Britain, the third – the Czech national team.

The former world achievement in this discipline also belonged to American track and field athletes, they set it at the 2019 World Championships in Qatar – 3 minutes 9, 34 seconds.

The World Championship in Budapest will end on August 27. According to the decision of the International Association of Athletics Federations, Russian athletes miss the tournament due to the armed invasion of Ukraine.
