The US military has begun testing robotic “dogs” equipped with weapons with elements of artificial intelligence at a military facility in Saudi Arabia. This is reported by Military.com and NDTV with reference to photos released by the Pentagon's Visual Information Dissemination Service (DVIDS).
The tests are taking place at the Red Sands Integrated Experiment Center as part of anti-drone exercises. The four-legged robot, pictured, is equipped with a rotating turret with a weapon similar to an AR-15/M16 rifle.
