The United States imposed sanctions against the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and three Chinese enterprises, accusing them of violating the global regime of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

This is stated in a State Department statement issued on Friday, April 19, the Voice of America reported.

The US Foreign Office said that these enterprises supplied products used in missiles for Pakistan's ballistic missile programs, including for the long-range missile program.

"The United States is committed to strengthening the global nonproliferation regime by taking action to disrupt the procurement networks that support proliferation activities of concern.", – the statement said.

Enterprises included in the sanctions list “have been involved in actions or transactions that have significantly facilitated, or created the risk of significantly facilitating, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction or their means of delivery.” Specifically, they may have engaged in efforts to “manufacture, acquire, possess, develop, transport, transfer, or use such items by Pakistan,” the State Department said.

The report noted that the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant was working to supply chassis for Pakistan's long-range ballistic missile program. Such chassis are used in the equipment of the Pakistan National Development Complex for launching ballistic missiles.
