US Department of Energy expects global oil consumption to rise by 1 million barrels per day in 2023 From IFX

Oil and liquid hydrocarbons (HLH) consumption in the world in 2022 will amount to 99.82 million barrels per day, which is 2.26 million b/d more than in 2021, according to the monthly forecast of the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Thus, the EIA has maintained its forecast, announced in November.

The Ministry slightly adjusted its forecast for oil demand for 2023 downward. According to the EIA, consumption will increase by 1 million b/d to 100.82 million b/d.

A month earlier, the agency predicted an increase in 2023 by 1.16 million b/d to 100, 98 million bps.
