Basic static tests of the B-21 Raider have recently been completed, and the aircraft's structural integrity has been confirmed. The tests ensured that the design of the aircraft was reliable and matched the previously created digital models. At the next stage, the long-term durability of the plane's airframe will be tested. After these tests are completed, the B-21 will be transferred to Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota — the main operating base for the aircraft.

B-21 Raider

The B-21 Raider was designed as a long-range stealth bomber capable of nuclear deterrence and conventional strike missions. It will play a fundamental role in the US nuclear triad and will serve as the “air wing” of the strategic system.

The US Air Force began planning the B-21 in 2011, and the largest development contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman in 2015. The B-21 made the first flight on November 10, 2023, all work is going to be completed by 2027.
