The United States tested the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile

The American military tested the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile, which was not equipped with a warhead.

The launch was carried out from the Vandenberg test site in California on the morning of June 4, the press service of the military base reported, reports " Voice of America.

The test was part of routine activities designed to show that the US nuclear deterrent is “safe, reliable and effective at deterring 21st century threats,” it said.

The press service of Vandenberg Base also emphasized that the test is not related to current international events.
