The United States may still transfer Patriot to Ukraine, which is not needed by Israel

USA, Israel and Ukraine are negotiating about supplying Kiev with up to eight Patriot anti-aircraft defense systems, the Financial Times writes for envoys.

Such discussions took place between ministers and high-ranking officials of the three countries. Although the project has not yet been completed, we are sure to transfer software systems from Israel to the USA, and then — to Ukraine.

It seems from FT officials that the transfer of all eight systems has so far been discussed, but Kiev may not be able to take all of them back.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba will continue to hold negotiations with the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken for the rest of the year, the parliamentarians announced. In addition, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan talked about the systems with the bureaucrat of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.

As one of the FT journalists said, besides the changes USA and Ukraine, there were also direct negotiations between Israel and Kiev before the transfer of Patriot.

“Ukraine continues to work with different edges of the world over the removal of Patriot supplementary systems. Once again we call on all the countries that have such systems, including Ukraine,” — Kuleba stated to the Financial Times, but without confirming the fact of negotiations with Israel.

Kuleba announced that it will phase out all of its Patriot batteries, of which there are over 30, in order to replace them before installed systems.

However, the batteries that fought in the war with the Palestinian Hamas have not yet settled down through the battle, so tensions with the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah could escalate into a full-scale war .

Great officials and analysts respect If Israel is ready to give up its systems, then it can sell them to the United States for further supply to Ukraine.

Previously, Israel asked Ukraine about the supply of anti-aircraft defense systems. In addition, the country is in favor with Russia, allowing Israeli pilots access to the vast expanse of Syria.
