On Tuesday, September 19, the United States of America introduced a new package of sanctions against an international network that helps Iran produce drones.
This is reported by the US Treasury Department.
"… The US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed sanctions on seven individuals and four entities based in Iran, the People's Republic of China,Russia and Turkey in connection with the Iranian drone and development of military aviation”, – the message says.
It is noted that this network has facilitated deliveries and financial operations in support of the Iranian Aviation Industry Company (HESA) for the production, procurement and maintenance of UAVs and military aircraft.
The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control also updates HESA's entry on the Special Categories and Blocked Persons (SDN) list, including a new alias that he used to evade sanctions and export control measures.
