Ukrainian military in Donbas began using more than 30 British-made robotic dogs. This is reported by BILD publication.
These robots, developed by the Brit Alliance, have a compact and maneuverable design, which allows them to perform tasks that are inaccessible to conventional drones, such as penetrating buildings or enemy trenches.< /p>
Operators control the robots, which are equipped with cameras for terrain reconnaissance, mine detection and monitoring of the movements of Russian troops. This significantly reduces the risks for Ukrainian scouts.
According to the head of Brit Alliance, Kyle Thorburn, the company developed these robots in response to increasing losses on the front due to enemy drones. They make it possible to carry out reconnaissance missions more safely in high-risk areas, increasing the efficiency and morale of the military.
Robops equipped with German heat-resistant camouflage from Concamo are almost invisible to the enemy. They move across the battlefield at a speed of up to 15 km/h and can operate for up to five hours at a distance of up to 3.5 km. The cost of one such robot ranges from 4,000 to 8,000 euros, which, according to experts, is a small amount compared to human lives.
The first to test these devices were the soldiers of the 28th brigade of the Armed Forces.
