On the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, her colleague Sofia Tarasova published a post on Instagram, accompanied by a symbolic black square. The vocalist asked God for peace “everyone”.

“My parents are from Leningrad. Like all previous generations. But due to the fact that my parents moved, I was born and raised in Kyiv. I am the only one in my family who knows Ukrainian. All my life, I've felt at the crossroads. At the junction of fraternal cultures. Tearing apart from the inside. My soul hurts. Very scary. It is difficult to say something, and therefore I consider it necessary now to conserve my strength to support my loved ones. God bless us all”,” Tarasova wrote.
