Turkey's women's national team won the European Volleyball Championship for the first time

The women's team of Turkey beat the team of Serbia in the final match of the European Volleyball Championship and became the winner of the tournament for the first time. The meeting took place in Brussels.

The game ended with a score of 3-2 (25:27, 25:21, 22:25, 25:22, 15:13) in favor of the Turkish team.

Ukraine reached the 1/8 finals at the tournament, reports champion.com.ua.

The national teams of Serbia and Turkey played against each other for the second time in the finals of the European Championship. In 2019, the Serbian team won in five sets.

The Serbian national team won three times at the European Championships. The USSR national team holds the record for the number of titles.

The European Championship was held in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Estonia. 24 teams participated in the tournament.
