At present, the load of the tourist infrastructure of St. Petersburg is about 30%, the head of the city committee for tourism development Sergey Korneev told reporters today.
“Loading of tourist infrastructure in April was at zero, at the end of June – about 5-10%. August was quite good, loading reached 30-40%, and on weekends – up to 70%,” Korneev said.
In September, he added, the flow of tourists began to decline, today 30% of the tourist infrastructure is loaded in the city.
Korneev clarified that, first of all, he means the loading of accommodation objects. The head of the committee noted that mainly individual tourists travel to the city.
“There was no business tourism in St. Petersburg in the summer, now it is recovering a little. There was no school tourism, as well as cultural and educational tourism, since museums did not work. In August we were able to reach individual and independent tourists,” Korneev said.
