Pickup Tesla Cybertruck lost to Model X in towing heavy trailers

Although the Tesla Cybertruck is designed to handle difficult tasks, including towing heavy trailers, it turned out that the less extreme Model X copes with this task by a lot better. Geneva Long, founder and CEO of the electric motor home company Bowlus, said.

Long found that the Model X was able to tow the Volterra trailer much further than the "mighty" Cybertruck. Both cars have a claimed range of 530 km, but the first with a trailer covered a distance of 378 km, while the second was only 257 km long — more than 30% less. It seems that this is another indication that the Cybertruck impresses only from the outside, despite its real capabilities.

However, experts highlight several reasons why the pickup showed such a result. First of all, it weighs a lot more than the Model X, and towing has a huge impact on electric vehicle range. It is also not specified whether the electric cars moved in equal weather and road conditions.

At the same time, a recent similar test of the Cybertruck showed a range of about 257 km, which generally confirms the words of Geneva Long.
