The Bulgarian company Samel-90, in cooperation with the Swiss technology company ALIDRONE SAGL, established the production of kamikaze drones called Samjet. The drone looks very similar to the Iranian Shahed drone. (Russian modification of “Geranium”), but has several important differences. The drone was developed primarily for the needs of the Bulgarian armed forces, providing them with the ability to deliver precise and rapid strikes. The INFORM Army writes about this.
The Samjet drone can reach a speed of up to 250 km/h and has a range of several hundred kilometers. It is equipped with a three-axis gyro-stabilized camera that allows operators to track targets in real-time, even under difficult weather conditions. This is an important advantage that Iranian counterparts do not have.
Currently, the Samel-90 company has started mass production of these drones, seeking to strengthen its position in the world market of defense technology. A test video released by the company shows the Samjet taking off from a catapult and engaging ground targets, highlighting its combat effectiveness. which allows accurate identification of targets and provides the operator with visual confirmation during the final attack. This makes it more perfect compared to Iranian "shaheds", which do not have such functions.
