The specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Civi smartphone have been officially confirmed

Xiaomi is preparing to release the smartphone Xiaomi 14 Civi in India on June 12. After the recent leak of the retail box of the device, the brand has now confirmed a bunch of specifications on Flipkart's 14 Civi microsite.

According to the details on the microsite, the smartphone has a 50MP primary camera with Leica's Summilux lens. The main camera is paired with a 50-megapixel portrait telephoto camera that offers 2x zoom, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view.

On the front, it sports a 32MP + 32MP dual selfie camera capable of recording 4K video. The phone will have a slim 7.4mm metal body with premium vegan leather on the back. The display is confirmed to have a "floating quad-curve" with a resolution of 1.5K, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The panel will offer more than 68 billion colors, support Dolby Vision and HDR10+. For audio, it will have stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos setup.

It is confirmed to pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip under the hood, and the software — HyperOS based on Android 14. The device will be powered by a 4700mAh battery coupled with 67W fast charging. Finally, the microsite confirms three color options: Crusie Blue, Matcha Green and Shadow Black. Pricing details may emerge in the coming days.

In related news, a DCS whistleblower has released some details about the camera system of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series smartphones, which are expected to be among the first to adopt the Snapdragon 8 chip. Gen 4, so we can expect them to be released around Q4 2024.
