The folding smartphone Pixel 9 Pro Fold impresses with its technological innovation. At the same time, this gadget requires careful use.

Recently conducted testing by the well-known blogger JerryRigEverythingfound that an attempt to bend the device in the direction opposite to its natural folding can lead to serious damage to the screen.

During the experiments, the blogger noticed the design flaws of the smartphone. Pixel 9 Pro Fold doesn't withstand a significant load when bent backwards. Although it requires some effort, it is not excessive. As a result of such exposure, the display may be damaged, which emphasizes the need for careful handling of the device.

Another notable design change is the hinge, which now folds out completely flat – something the first-generation Pixel Fold didn't have. It is also IPX8 water resistant.

Thanks to the new proportions, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold features larger displays with a 6.3-inch cover screen and an 8-inch screen, which is made in the form of a square. Both displays are OLED with FHD+ resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 2,700 nits. Both panels also have the same 10-megapixel selfie cameras.
