The SBU is behind the strikes on the Kushchevska airfield and the Sloviansk Refinery

The targets of the Ukrainian drone strikes were the Kushchevska airfield and the Slovyan Refinery in Krasnodar, Russia. The airfield of the Russian military was used for strikes on Ukraine, a source told DW.

According to the source, the target of the night drone attack was the military airfield “Kushchevska” and the Slov’ oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. “At the airfield, they (SBU drones. – Ed.) worked together with the Forces of Unmanned Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the source informed. According to the source, “dozens of different planes that attack Ukrainian positions at the front: Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, MiG-29” were stationed at the military airfield.

Slovyanskyi Refinery suspends work after drone attack

At the same time it became known today that the oil refinery in Sloviansk-na-Kuban in the Krasnodar Territory suspended work after a night attack by drones. This was stated by Eduard Trudnev, director of integrated security of the group of companies “Slovyansk ECO”. “There were flights. The plant is now stopped. We are calculating the damage,” the Russian agency “Interfax” quoted him as saying.

He specified that this Russian refinery was not the first time that it became the target of Ukrainian strikes, but this time the drones were larger, “charges were carried much more, they were also filled with damage elements in the form of steel balls,” writes the Russian resource TASS.
