The Security Service of Ukraine detained four more military commissars and heads of military medical commissions who helped evaders to avoid the draft and flee abroad. This was reported by the SBU.
“As a result of operational measures in Kyiv, Odesa and Kharkiv region, 4 military officials were detained, who, for money, officials offered conscripts to avoid mobilization on the basis of fictitious documents about their unfitness for military service due to their health,” – reports SBU.
The cost of such "services" was up to USD 10,000 per person. The amount depended on the terms of "resolution of issues" and financial capabilities of “clients”.
Yes, in Kyiv:
the head of the district military committee and the head of one of the capital's military medical commissions were arrested, who were selling fake medical certificates about the presence of serious diagnoses.
In Kharkiv region:
the head of the district military committee was detained, who "earned" on potential conscripts more than 11 million hryvnias. To his "business" he involved three officials of the local hospital.
For bribes, they “found” health problems in conscripts, which became a formal basis for removal from military registration.
In Odesa:
cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine eliminated a corruption scheme, in the organization of which the secretary of the local military medical commission was involved.
Together with a lawyer from the capital and two accomplices, they organized a large-scale sale of falsified documents on unfitness for military service .
They searched for their clients all over the territory of Ukraine, and then registered them with the Odessa Military Commissariat to "write off" from military service.
Currently, the secretary of this military medical commission and her accomplices have been detained “red handed”. Suspicion has been announced to them and the issue of preventive measures is being decided.
The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
