The SBU exposed an enemy informant who was adjusting Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions on the eastern front

The corrector maintained communication with the occupiers via the social network «Vkontakte»

The security service exposed another enemy henchman who directed Russian strikes on the bases of the defenders of the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU Department in Cherkasy region.

The attacker «leaked» the coordinates of the Ukrainian military positions that held the defense in the Pokrovsky direction. The enemy was most interested in the locations of the concentration of military equipment and ammunition depots of the Defense Forces.

The figure performed the function of a «liaison’ and transmitted information to an official of the so-called «people's militia «DPR». In the front-line part of the Donetsk region, he had his informant, who collected intelligence and recorded the coordinates of the Ukrainian defenders. They also transmitted to the occupiers the locations of the deployment of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the combat positions of the «HIMARS» rocket artillery systems.

It has been established that, based on their «instruction», the aggressors carried out shelling of the water intake system in the city of Selidove in 2022. The correction officer kept in touch with the occupiers through the social network «Vkontakte», where he sent the received intelligence information and photos with the marks of objects on electronic maps.

Based on the collected evidence, the Security Service investigators in absentia informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, movement, relocation or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is hiding from justice abroad. The suspect is currently wanted.

His accomplice has already been sentenced to 12 years in prison and is behind bars.

The comprehensive measures and pre-trial investigation were carried out by the SBU officers in Cherkasy region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
