The SBI exposed a scheme involving the military: they sold clothing and ammunition to the Armed Forces

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) discovered an illegal scheme for the sale of clothing and other military ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is discussed on the DBR website.

Offenders launched their activities in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi region. At least two servicemen of one of the military units and three more civilians were involved in the scheme.

The perpetrators sold thermal clothing, military uniforms, sappers shovels, military flasks, military shoes, etc. online. The labels read “Property of the ZSU”. Not for sale”.

The SBI reported that the military stole property purchased with state funds and handed over to civilian participants schemes that ensured the sale of things through the Internet platform.

Law enforcement officers conducted 15 searches at the warehouses of the military unit, at the place of residence of persons involved in the commission of the crime, and at the place of storage of stolen property. According to the results of the searches, the following were found and seized:

  • bank cards,
  • communication tools,
  • records with “black bookkeeping”,
  • >

  • thousands of military equipment.

The final amount of damage caused to the state will be determined based on the results of examinations. If found guilty, the suspects face 10 to 15 years in prison.

BAGNET reminds that the FBI also exposed a criminal scheme in Ivano-Frankivsk. The perpetrators fictitiously enlisted the relatives of city leaders and football players to join the army.
