The Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone will surprise with new AI capabilities

On the eve of the big presentation scheduled for January 22, information about new Galaxy AI features that will debut in the Galaxy S25 series smartphones has leaked online. Among them are — automatic creation of text summaries of videos on YouTube, intelligent music search, an improved “Agenda” mode and assistance with homework.

What is known about Galaxy AI

The Galaxy S24 became the first Samsung smartphone with Galaxy AI support. Since then, the company has significantly expanded the functionality of artificial intelligence, and the Galaxy S25 series is planned to introduce an even wider range of capabilities to optimize everyday tasks, entertainment and work.

Tipster Ahmed Qwaider shared a list of new Galaxy AI features that will be introduced:

  • YouTube Highlights: The feature automatically creates a text summary of the video content and adds it to the Samsung Notes app.
  • Music Search: Allows you to find songs and artists. It is not yet clear whether the feature recognizes music playing on the phone or in the environment.
  • Homework: Helps solve equations and provides step-by-step instructions, similar to Google Lens.
  • Daily Routine: The AI creates personalized recommendations, such as suggesting apps to use in the car, music to listen to, or optimal routes with GPS.

It is not yet known which features are based on the Google Gemini platform and which use Samsung's own Gauss AI. Another informant (@chunvn8888) notes that the Galaxy S25 will receive exclusive features implemented on the basis of Google Gemini, details of which may appear in the near future.

The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are likely to run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which provides improved graphics and local processing of AI tasks. Some of the features listed may be exclusive to these devices.

The Galaxy S25 series will also be the first to receive One UI 7.0 out of the box. The update with new Galaxy AI features will later appear on other Samsung flagship devices.
