Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ smartphones won't get a major camera update

According to the latest leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ may not get an updated main camera, both front and back back Sources claim that both models will not receive the same camera upgrades as their older sibling, the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Preliminary reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 will have a 50MP primary camera, while the front-facing camera will retain the resolution 12 MP, as in previous Galaxy S23 and S24 models. The Galaxy S25+ model will have the same camera specifications. There may be changes to the ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras, but there is no word on that yet.

Those looking for a significant improvement in photography should consider the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is expected to get a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 50-megapixel telephoto cameras with 3x and 5x optical zoom.

Apart from the cameras, the new flagships may increase in price due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip 8 Gen 4 worldwide due to Exynos 2500 production issues. Given Qualcomm's price hikes for the next generation of chips, Samsung may increase the cost of the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung is expected to introduce the new series in early 2025, and more details about the upcoming devices are likely to emerge by then.
