Russia uses Belarus as a platform for training its units, and Russian military personnel in the amount of 10-11 thousand people were periodically stationed there. However, at the moment, the Russians have withdrawn almost all their units as part of the rotation.

This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

"At this moment russia withdrew almost all of its units that had completed training as part of the rotation. Instead, new units were not established there. he said.

He emphasized that today he does not have a group to invade Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.

At the same time, Demchenko noted that along the state border with Belarus for the last time border guards did not record any changes. At the border, according to Demchenko, the situation is completely under control. Fortification of the border continues in order to prevent cases of sabotage or destabilization of the situation.

As BAGNET reported, the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania also informed that after the death of the leader of the PVK “Wagner” Evgenia Prigozhina, the number of mercenaries in Belarus began to decrease. The situation is radically different from what it was three weeks ago.
