The Russian Federation is forced to stop the production of the “analog” fighter that is known about it

The Russian Federation is forced to stop the production of the most

Russia is stopping the production of the newest stealth fighters of the 5th generation Su-57, which NATO calls “Felon”. The aggressor country was forced to take such a step by the sanctions that Western countries began to introduce 31 months ago.

This is reported by The Telegraph publication. It was because of the restrictions that Russia was forced to stop producing aircraft.

“It is clear that the Russian military industry is highly dependent on Western components, particularly in electronics,” – explained Frontelligence Insight, a Ukrainian analytical group.

As the publication writes, the sanctions imposed by Western governments at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine ultimately suppressed the supply of critical equipment to the Russian Federation, which is used in 5th generation aircraft.

The twin-engine Su-57 with the ability to bypass radars became Russia's “answer” to Lockheed Martin's American F-22 Raptor. The aircraft was designed to replace Mikoyan's old MiG-29, Su-27 and their variants in service with the Russian Air Force.

“The first flight of the Su-57 took place in 2010, 20 years after the world's first stealth fighter of the fifth generation “Raptor” took to the sky. Over the next decade, Sukhoi workers built 10 test models by hand. And in 2019 The Kremlin has signed a contract for 76 serial jets, about $50 million per copy,” — the publication reports.

At the same time, according to “The Telegraph”, Lockheed produces more than 150 fifth-generation F-35s per year, while the Russian “Sukhoi” delivered the first 10 serial Su-57s to the Air Force in 2022 and another 11 in 2023.

At the same time, the Russian Air Force lost two Su-57s due to accidents – one test and one serial. Also in June, as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Akhtubin State Flight Test Center in southern Russia, at least one additional Su-57 was destroyed on the ground.

In general, according to the publication, Russia should now have about 30 Su-57 aircraft. At the same time, a third of them — test models that do not have a part of important electronics, which makes them unsuitable for combat missions.

What kind of Su-57 aircraft

Su-57 &mdash ; this is a multi-purpose fighter, which in the Russian Federation is considered to be the fifth generation (the most modern type of fighter). Although opinions on this matter differ among experts.

Technical characteristics of the aircraft:

Crew: 1 person

Length: 19.7 m

Wingspan: 14 m

Height: 4.8 m

Weight: empty — 18.5 tons; normal take-off weight: with 63% fuel — 26% t; with 100% fuel — 30 t.

Maximum speed at altitude: 2.45 M (about 2600 km/h), maximum speed without aftershock 2 M (about 2100 km/h).

Flight duration: up to 5.8 hours

Practical ceiling: 20,000 m

It is worth noting that the Su-57 is very heavily promoted by propaganda, presenting it as another “wunderwaffe”. Although, in fact, while it is a flying tank “Armata” — a longhouse (the first model was presented as early as 2004), which is practically not in the army.
