Many kinesiologists have defended since the start of the crisis the importance of keeping training centers open. Some sports, such as singles tennis, had been maintained until the curfew began in January.
Experts recommend 150 minutes of physical activity per week to experience the physical and psychological benefits. A Quebec gym owner even proposed a protocol for reopening to public health, including a dozen strict measures, to prevent the transmission of the virus.
François Legault will announce at 5 p.m. the reopening of shops, and a certain return to normal in certain regions where there are almost no more cases of COVID-19.
Beauty salons and hairdressing salons should also resume their activities.
In addition, the return to the color code will allow restaurants to once again welcome dining room customers in regions less affected by the virus (orange zone), where the curfew would be pushed back to 9:30 p.m.
The PQ calls for the curfew to end in regions where the virus is no longer rife.
