Prague – Portugal's soccer players crushed Luxembourg 9:0 at home in the European Championship qualifiers and achieved their highest win in history. They lead Group J after six rounds with full points and a score of 24-0. Croatia won 1:0 in Armenia thanks to Andrej Kramaric's goal. The bronze team from last year's world championship moved to the top of the incomplete group D. Former Spartan Dávid Hancko scored in the ninth second and helped Slovakia to a 3-0 triumph over Liechtenstein.

The Portuguese, without Cristiano Ronaldo, who received a yellow card, decided the game in Faro already in the first half, when Ramos and Inácio scored twice. The Sporting defender scored his first international goals. The fired-up home team scored five more times after the change of sides. Jota scored two goals and Bruno Fernandes, the author of three assists, and Horta, alternating with Félix, were also among the scorers. The Portuguese national team beat the previous record 8-0 victory over Liechtenstein in December 1994.
Kramarič put the favored Croatians in the lead in Yerevan in the 14th minute after a jam in the penalty area and a close-range shot. Despite the dominance and promising chances, the guests did not get the second goal. Not even former star player Musa, who jumped into the game in the 84th minute, made his mark. Coach Dalič's men maintained their invincibility in qualifying for Euro 2024. The Croatians lead the “kid” by a score ahead of Turkey, which has played one match more.
The Slovaks scored all three goals in Bratislava in the opening six minutes. Duda and Mak raised after Hanck's lightning strike. The home team, for which Spartan Haraslín, Slavist Tomič and substitute Tupta from Liberec also started, continue to lose five points from the second place in Group J to the sovereign Portuguese.
