The Polish Ministry of Defense has signed a contract for the supply of howitzers and support vehicles worth over $4 billion

The Polish Army will be supplied with almost a hundred Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, the Ministry of National Defense reported on Monday.

“More than 17 billion zlotys ($4.15 billion – IF-U) is the amount of contracts signed today with the Polish arms industry for the supply of equipment for the Polish Army,” the report says.

The Ministry of Defense specified that the contract covers the purchase of 96 Krab self-propelled howitzers, as well as command and staff vehicles, ammunition and repair shops for weapons and electronics, training packages and logistics. In addition, the military department is purchasing 250 escort vehicles for the K9 self-propelled howitzers, which are supplied from South Korea.
