The Polish army has purchased 1,700 FlyEye reconnaissance drones

Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, signed an agreement that provides for the purchase of 1,700 small FlyEye drones for the needs of the Polish army. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
The agreement was signed on the first day of the 31st International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in the city of Kielce. It will be held from September 5 to 8.
The drones will be manufactured by the Polish company WB Electronics S.A., which specializes in the production of military electronics. The contract is designed for the period until 2035.
FlyEye is a miniature Polish-made reconnaissance drone that surveys the terrain using optical-electronic heads with cameras that see thermal radiation.
Drone FlyEye is made of composite materials and equipped with an electric motor. The weight of the UAV is 11 kg, the wingspan is 3.6 m. FlyEye can be in the air for up to 180 minutes and fly at a maximum speed of 160 km.
These UAVs have already been tested by the Polish Army and were also used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the repulsion of Russian aggression.
