The plant stopped: new details of the attack on the refinery in Tuapse

After the attack of Ukrainian drones on the oil refinery in Tuapse, owned by “Rosneft”, on the night of May 17, the company was forced to urgently suspend its work.< /p>

This was reported by two sources who are familiar with the situation in a comment to the British news agency Reuters.

Yes, one of the sources noted that the drones hit the liquefied gas production facility in Tuapse, at the same time, the oil processing plant remained undamaged.

In addition, he noted in a comment to Reuters that no black smoke was recorded during the fire – this means that only liquefied gas was burning. According to the interlocutor of the publication , it is technically possible to bypass the liquefied gas installation and restart the enterprise relatively quickly.

In turn, Rosneft did not comment on the relevant incident.

The Tuapsin Oil Refinery had previously stopped processing and production of oil as a result of a fire following a drone attack on January 25 this year. It was closed for approximately three months, resuming its work at the end of April.
