Pixel 9 Pro Fold smartphone will have a great camera, but not the best among Google

The upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold smartphone has already attracted attention with its camera unit. Despite the lack of cutting-edge sensors, this device could become a photography leader among folding devices, according to 9to5Google editor.

Andrew Romero notes that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature a 48-megapixel primary sensor along with a 10.5 -MP ultra-wide-angle and 10.8-MP telephoto lenses, similar to those installed in the Pixel Fold.

Although this camera system is inferior to the advanced 50-MP main, 48-MP ultra-wide and 48-MP to the telephoto lenses used in the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL, “mastery” Google's image processing software remains a “significant advantage”. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will use Google's Tensor G4 processor.

Romero believes that even with less advanced hardware, Google's post-processing will likely make the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's camera one of the best among folding devices.
