The Republic of Slovenia joined humanitarian demining missions. To strengthen the pyrotechnic units, the embassy of this country handed over two powerful main tractors on behalf of its government.

Ford Trucks 3542T semi-trailer main tractors arrived. They are made in the Euro-5 ecological format.

In the engine compartment there is a 12.7-liter Ford Ecotorq 420 hp engine, which is paired with a ZF 16S 2530 manual transmission, the first two digits in the index of which indicate the number of shifting stages.

Transport the funds were purchased directly with the assistance of the United24 platform. This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The equipment was handed over as part of the Agreement on the allocation of 1.5 million euros for humanitarian aid in the field of demining, which the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Slovenia signed a little less than a year ago.

The Ministry of Economy is the administrator of the UNITED24 account for the needs of humanitarian demining. Since May 2023, more than 177 million hryvnia equivalents have been deposited into the account. With the funds contributed by Slovenia, the aforementioned mainline tractors were purchased, which were solemnly handed over to our pyrotechnicians by the Ambassador of Slovenia to Ukraine, Mrs. Mateja Prevolšek. we are working on the fact that the contribution of our country increased”, – said Mateya Prevolshek.

“These two tractors will allow two more mechanized demining machines to go tomorrow to clear the territories of explosive objects. By the end of the season – before the first frosts on the ground – we will still have time to free part of the Ukrainian land from explosive objects”, – noted the head of the State Emergency Service Andriy Danyk.

According to Andriy Danyk, the State Emergency Service plans to have up to 90 demining machines with the help of partners next season. This will be almost the largest fleet of such cars in Europe. The tractors received from Slovenia will be useful in logistics, since a lot of transport operations are expected.
