The owner of Nokia released the phone, inspired by the movie Barbie

HMD Global has released a Nokia push-button phone inspired by the movie Barbie, more than a year after the premiere of the film.

HMD Global, the company that owns the rights to the brand Nokia, released a new button phone inspired by the film Barbie.

The gadget was released more than a year late after the premiere of Greta Gerwig's film, which became the highest-grossing film directed by a female director. The new flip phone features a T9 keyboard with buttons decorated with palm trees, hearts and flamingos that glow in the dark. The gadget is designed for calls and SMS, without access to social networks. HMD calls this pink device the perfect tool to take a break from your smartphone.

The design of the phone is emphasized by branded details: the Barbie logo, the bright greeting “Hello, Barbie!” when enabled, and a stylized interface. The phone also features a 5-megapixel camera with flash and comes with a beaded strap. It comes with Barbie stickers and a pink USB-C charger.

The device costs $129. Sales will begin on October 1, and pre-orders can be made from September 23 on the official HMD website.
