The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone will have a ceramic back and a metal frame

The schematics of OnePlus Ace 3 Pro’ have already appeared on the Internet a few days ago. At the end of last month  the phone also received the 3C certificate. The phone is now rumored to have a ceramic back and metal middle frame.

A well-known Digital Chat Station whistleblower made the following statement in one of his Weibo posts. Other recent rumors from the platform also claimed that many upcoming devices will use this new material in 2024. According to DCS, OnePlus will use a hot forging process for the ceramic back panel. He also added that the rear panel will be white. Although it may not be pure white, but its shade.

The adviser says that the ceramic version of the Bugatti Veyron was the inspiration for using ceramics. Notably, he noted that the rear ceramic surface of the plate will have a distinct texture.

DCS separately noted that the phone will be the first to feature a metal middle frame + ceramic back panel.

Notably, that ceramic is generally heavier than glass, so the weight may increase slightly. If we talk about the cost, the new material is also more expensive than glass. The tipster also mentioned that the ceramic version could be more expensive.

However, this is still a rumor and the company may cancel its ceramic plan.

Speaking of the internals, it is expected  that the OnePlus Ace3 Pro will be powered by last year's flagship chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It may feature a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera on the back paired with a 16MP front camera. There could be a 6.78-inch BOE 8T LTPO screen with 1.5K resolution.

According to previous rumors, the phone will pack a powerful 6100mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging.
