The famous Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has published photos from the presentation of the advanced BOE screen that will be installed in the upcoming OnePlus 13. The smartphone itself is also shown, and its even compared to the new iPhone. The OnePlus company also shared the details.

What else is known about the new product

The photo shows the OnePlus 13 with the new BOE screen, which uses the BOE X2 luminescent material and the company's P2 controller. For clarity, it was compared with the iPhone 16 Pro Max and another smartphone. OnePlus 13 is hidden in a special case, so its design cannot be appreciated except for the rounded edge of the display and the hole for the front camera.

Judging from the photos, the OnePlus 13 screen flickers significantly less than the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the second device. According to Digital Chat Station, this display will set a new industry standard.

The OnePlus company itself also revealed some interesting details. In particular, the new flagship will support the function of local adjustment of the screen refresh rate. This means that one part of it can have 120 Hz, and the other — 30 Hz. For example, if you are watching a video, and there are stationary elements around the video, then it does not make sense to include a high frequency in this area. This will save energy without reducing the smooth operation of the device.
