Microsoft plans to release a new Xbox console at the end of 2026. In parallel, the company is announcing a new part of Call of Duty to help promote the console.
The new Xbox will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen Zen 5 or Zen 6 processor, which will significantly increase the performance of the device. Sources suggest that Microsoft is looking to repeat the successful strategy of the Xbox 360, which was released a year before Sony's PlayStation 3 and became the best-selling console in Microsoft's history.
Meanwhile, Sony plans to release the PlayStation 6 by the end of 2027, after the PS5 Pro is introduced this fall.
In addition, Microsoft intends to release another Xbox console before the end of 2024. However, it remains unclear whether this will be an updated model or just a redesign of the Xbox Series X.
