The new Mercedes G-Class 2024 is out: how the legendary SUV has changed

Official photos of Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2024 have appeared online. The SUV has undergone a facelift and will be officially presented at the New York Auto Show, and will later go on sale at a price from 122,800 euros.

The new “Gelendwagen” is distinguished by a slightly updated design and an improved interior. The SUV received economical engines, and an electric version of the model will soon appear. This is stated on the Mercedes-Benz Media page.

In the new car, the developers kept the cool design. Mercedes G-Class 2024 can be recognized by the changed radiator grill, it also has new headlights, lights and bumpers.The Mercedes-AMG G63 traditionally has a more aggressive look.

In the interior, a new steering wheel and a redesigned central panel are installed. The new 2024 Gelendvagen received an improved MBUX multimedia system, which can now highlight off-road parameters such as compass and altimeter data. There have also been improved cameras for a circular view, which allow you to see “through the hood”.

Mercedes G-Class 2024 received new engines, supplemented by 48-volt “mild” hybrid units for 20 hp. In the Mercedes G500, a 3.0-liter 449-horsepower turbo six was installed instead of a V8. It is not only more powerful, but also more economical – 10.9 l/100 km in the combined cycle.

The 3.0-liter turbodiesel in the Mercedes G450d now develops 367 hp. and consumes 8.7 l/100 km. In the Mercedes-AMG G63, the 4.0-liter turbo eight is preserved: it still develops 585 hp, but thanks to the hybrid installation, it has also become more economical – 14.7 l/100 km.
