The new defense minister takes part in “Ramstein” for the first time
On September 19, for the first time, Rustem Umyerov will take part in the meeting of the “Ramstein” format, which is being held in Germany and this is the 15th meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine led by the USA.
Chapter Pentagon's Lloyd Austin, opening the meeting, congratulated Umerov on his new position.
"We had a good conversation last week, and this morning we also had the opportunity to sit down together. Rustem, I look forward to working closely with you and your team. And I know that everyone here is too", – said Austin.
The head of the Pentagon also thanked ex-minister Oleksiy Reznikov "for his hard work and dedication — and for everything he did for a free Ukraine in a safe world”.
