В new budget smartphone Samsung Galaxy A06 hit the network

New evidence of the existence of the Galaxy A06, which is currently under development in Samsung's laboratories, has appeared. Recently, this unreleased budget phone was spotted testing in Geekbench 4, and yesterday it appeared in the Wi-Fi Alliance database.

In both cases, the Galaxy A06 has the model number SM-A065F, indicating lack of 5G support and operation only in LTE networks.

Test results in Geekbench confirm several characteristics, including the presence of Android 14, 4 GB of RAM — although other memory configurations may exist — and the MT6769V/CZ processor, which corresponds to the MediaTek Helio G85.

Regarding the Wi-Fi Alliance, the leak confirms that the Galaxy A06 supports dual-SIM support and supports ac/n/a Wi-Fi standards /b/g. Likewise, the regulatory agency lists only one variant of the Galaxy A06, namely LTE-only.

As SamMobile reported earlier this month, the Galaxy A06 won't be the only one. Samsung is also developing the Galaxy A16, but so far we haven't found any confirmation of this on Geekbench or the Wi-Fi Alliance.

The Galaxy A06 will be a follow-up to the A05 model. The last one was released in October 2023, which means that the Galaxy A06 could go on sale before the end of this year.

The current Galaxy A05 is equipped with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with a resolution of 720p , the same MediaTek Helio G85 processor as the A06, and a 50MP main camera. The upcoming Galaxy A06 might not change much, but at least it should come with a newer firmware.
