The Netherlands supports the shooting down of drones and missiles in NATO airspace

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Breckelmans, believes that NATO should shoot down drones and missiles that violate the airspace of the member states of the Alliance.

According to Ukrinform, he stated this after a meeting with his Lithuanian colleague Laurinas Kaschyunas, according to a post by the Dutch minister on the social network X.

Brekelmans emphasized that Russia's violation of NATO airspace is &laquo “unacceptable and dangerous”.

« Our answer must be clear. Drones and missiles that enter our airspace must be detected and intercepted,&rdash; wrote the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.

He also added that, if necessary, NATO should provide support to individual members of the Alliance.
