Already selected for over a year, 27 pianists from 11 countries will record their concert, 45-minute recitals, in 13 major cities. These will be presented at nine virtual meetings from April 26 to 30.
Then, eight finalists selected for recitals of 60 minutes each. These will be presented online from May 10 to 13. Announcement of the winners will follow on Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m.
Zarin Mehta will chair the jury made up of Arnaldo Cohen, Martin Engstroem, Mari Kodama, Hélèner Mercier, Costa Pilavachi, Rena Shereshevskya and Susan Wadsworth.
The winner of the competition will be invited as a soloist in a concert with the Orchester symphonique de Montréal.
Remember that the competition, which will be at its 19e edition, is addressed alternately to voice, piano and violin artists.
