We were deeply moved by a film about a totalitarian system and how it tries to break and dehumanize people. There is a lot of hope in the disobedience and resistance of the heroes of this film, and that is why we would like to award the film “The New Year That Never Came” by Bohdan Muresanu with a Special Award, the members of the jury noted in their reasoning.
