The Ministry of Justice wants to confiscate the Lviv apartment of the propagandist from the Solovyov show

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court to impose sanctions on the propagandist of the Russian show, Volodymyr Sergienko.

The press service of the Ministry of Justice reported this on Facebook.

The department emphasized that the sanction that is planned to be applied to Sergienko is provided for by paragraph 1-1 of part one of article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”.

“The Ministry of Justice has declared Sergienko's assets in Ukraine for seizure, namely: 1/2 share of the apartment in Lviv and 50% in the authorized capital of LLC “HEALTH CARE UKRAINE”,” the Ministry of Justice emphasized and added that this is a seizure of income states.

The information about the lawsuit to the Supreme Court of Justice emphasizes that through his appearances on the show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov,” Sergienko not only spread Russian propaganda narratives, but also tried to influence international support for Ukraine by presenting the state in a negative light.

The Ministry of Justice recalled that Sergienko, a native of Lviv who left Ukraine in the early 1990s, regularly appeared on the air of Russian propaganda programs, in particular in the TV program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.”

As Ukrinform reported, the Berlin Administrative Court stripped the German citizenship of Vladimir Sergienko, a former assistant to a deputy from the right-wing party «Alternative for Germany».

Until the beginning of 2024 Sergienko was an assistant to the Bundestag member of the far-right AfD, Eugen (Eugene) Schmidt, and had access to the German parliament. In early February, a scandal erupted when the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the counterintelligence agency, said it suspected him of acting «on behalf of Russian state authorities to the detriment of Germany». Sergienko denied all charges and filed a lawsuit with the administrative court, which was dismissed.

The conclusions of the German counterintelligence officers were facilitated, in particular, by a joint investigation by Insider and Spiegel, which found that Sergienko, a former Ukrainian political strategist, corresponded with his supervisor, an FSB colonel, to whom he reported on the work performed, aimed, among other things, at obstructing aid to Ukraine.
