Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus denied information that shots were fired in Minsk during peaceful protests of the population. It was reported that the security forces carried them into the air to scare away the assembled citizens.

Earlier, the media wrote that the sounds of shots sounded from the side of Novovilenskaya Street in the capital of the republic. Olga Chemodanova, representing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said that the department does not currently have official information that such a measure actually took place. She also pointed out that, in general, the situation observed in Minsk today can be characterized as “controlled”.

Recently, it was reported that several columns of protesters headed for the elite village, where the residence of Alexander Lukashenko is located. The security forces also gathered there to protect the territory.
